
British Rail The British Rail Heathrow Connect service runs on a half hourly basis from Paddington Mainline station to Hanwell Station. Hanwell station is the third stop on this line. The journey only takes 15 minutes from Paddington and puts you within 2 minutes walking distance of the shop. Trains depart every 30 minutes, usually from Platform 13. Exiting Hanwell station, turn left into Campbell Road; turn left into Golden Manor and walk under the viaduct. You are now in Station Road. Peter Cook’s is the first shop on the left just past the width restriction.
N.B. Zone 1-4 Travelcards are valid for this journey. London Underground Central and District lines - Both lines share Ealing Broadway as a terminus. Our shop is a good 30 minutes walk from Ealing Broadway station, so you need to either take a taxi, use the local rail network by crossing the bridge to Platform 3 (see above) or catch one of the following buses: - E8, 207,83,607.
Piccadilly line - Alight at Boston Manor, which is on the Heathrow spur of the Piccadilly line. It is about 25 minutes walk to us, so you can either take a taxi from the rank outside or turn left out of the station and catch an E8 bus. London Buses E8 from Ealing Broadway - Is directly outside station to the left of the drivethru. The E8 turns right into Uxbridge Road and passes through West Ealing. On entering Hanwell, the E8 turns left into Boston Road. Get off at the first stop and walk back up to the traffic lights (by the clock tower). Cross the road and bear left until you are in front of the Duke of York pub. Turn right into Station Road. Peter Cook’s is a 2 minutes walk from here and can be found on the right just before the width restriction.
207,83,607 Services from Ealing Broadway - Turn left out of the station and cross the Uxbridge Road. The bus stop is twenty metres to the left of Burgerking. These services run through West Ealing and Hanwell. Once you have passed the set of traffic lights with a modern church and Gold’s Gym on the left, alight at the next stop by the Nest off-licence. Walk up to the next set of lights by the clock tower (see E8 directions above).
E8 from Boston Manor - Runs up the Boston Road into Hanwell. As soon as the E8 turns right into Uxbridge Road, you need to alight at the first stop and walk in the same direction as the bus up to the Duke of York pub. Turn left into Station Road. 207, 607 Services from Southall - Pass Ealing Hospital on the right and cross Hanwell bridge. Alight at the first stop after the Viaduct pub traffic lights (see E8 from Boston Manor walking directions).

Road From North Circular Road A406 - Heading west from North/East London, take the A406 as far as Hanger Lane gyratory system (where it intersects with the A40). Take the third exit A40 Oxford-bound (Western Avenue). After 1 mile, leave A40 at Perivale exit (having passed the Hoover Building on R/H side). Follow slip road, turn left at traffic lights into Argyle Road (B452), through next set of lights and turn right at the third set into Ruislip Road East (B455). Continue under a bridge until you reach another set of lights. Turn left into Greenford Avenue and follow for 1 mile until you go under a railway bridge. As you emerge, take first right turning into York Avenue, which leads into Station Approach (with railway viaduct above on right); turn left at T-junction into Station Road and drive through the width restriction. From The North M1 - Follow M1 to Junction 1 (Staples Corner) and take second exit at roundabout for A406 heading west. Proceed as outlined above From N. Circular Road A406.
From The North A1 - Follow A1 until Five Ways Corner where the road forks. Taking the right fork, Watford Way (A41), drive through Hendon past Hendon Central Underground. Filter left off Hendon Way to pick up the A406 heading west. Proceed as outlined above From N. Circular Road A406.
From Central London A40 - Follow signs for A40 Oxford, which take you through the Hanger Lane gyratory underpass. Proceed as outlined above From N. Circular Road A406.
From The Northwest M40/A40 - Follow signs for central London. The M40 terminates just after it crosses the M25 and it merges into the A40. Follow the A40 past RAF Northolt until you pass a B&Q store on the left. Turn off at the next junction, (A4127 for Greenford). Turn right at the roundabout beneath the A40 and drive ½ mile into Greenford town centre. Turn left at lights at Greenford Broadway crossroads into Ruislip Road East (B455). Cross the bridge and turn right at the next set of lights into Greenford Avenue. Follow for 1 mile until you drive under a railway bridge. As you emerge, take first right turning into York Avenue, which leads into Station Approach (with railway viaduct above on right); turn left at T-junction into Station Road and advance through the width restriction. From Boston Manor Road A 3002 (southern approach) - Head north up Boston Manor Road straight over mini- roundabout passing Boston Manor tube station on left. After 1½ miles the road brings you into Lower Boston Road one-way system. Take the R/H lane and turn right at the Viaduct pub lights into Uxbridge Road (A4020 Ealing-bound). Drive through the lights by Hanwell clocktower and turn left at the next set (by the 2 churches) into Church Road. Take second left into York Avenue, which leads into Station Approach (with railway viaduct above on right); turn left at T-junction into Station Road and drive through the width restriction. From Central London A4 - Approach Chiswick roundabout on Great West Road (A4). Take second exit signposted A4/M4 heading west and get into R/H lane. Follow the A4 (Great West Road) for 1 mile approximately, across a roundabout, through 3 sets of lights and up to a further set at the Boston Manor Road (A3002) junction (by the 1000 Building on R/H side). This is a no right turn junction, so drive through the lights and take the L/H lane. Filter off the A4 into the loop system (signposted Hanwell A3002), which will allow you to join the A4 heading in the opposite direction towards Central London. Turn left at next junction into Boston Manor Road (A3002). Proceed as outlined above From Boston Manor Road A 3002.
From The West A4 - Follow signs for central London on Great West Road (A4). Pass Osterley tube station and Gillette Corner on L/H side. Turn left at next junction just before the 1000 Building into Boston Manor Road (A3002). Proceed as outlined above From Boston Manor Road A 3002.
From The West M4 - Leave M4 at junction 2 (signposted A406/A4). The slip road puts you on a three- lane section of the A4. Get in the right-hand lane and approach the Chiswick roundabout (A4, A406 junction). Take the fifth exit i.e. double back on yourself heading west on the A4. Get into R/H lane. Follow the A4 (Great West Road) for 1 mile approximately, across a roundabout, through 3 sets of lights and up to a further set at the Boston Manor Road (A3002) junction (by the 1000 Building on R/H side). This is a no right turn junction, so drive through the lights and take the L/H lane. Filter off the A4 into the loop system (signposted Hanwell A3002), which will allow you to join the A4 heading in the opposite direction towards central London. From South Circular Road A205 - Follow A205 across Kew Bridge and turn left at lights into Kew Bridge Road (A315). Head into Brentford passing McDonald’s on right. Having passed Somerfield supermarket on R/H side, turn right at next set of lights by the Beehive pub into Half Acre (A3002) and follow up to the Great West Road (A4) junction. Get in R/H lane at the lights and cross A4 to enter Boston Manor Road. Proceed as outlined above From Boston Manor Road A 3002.
From The South West M3 - Follow M3 to junction 1. Take A316 towards Richmond (Chertsey Road/Twickenham Road) After about 6 miles, turn left at major roundabout into Kew Road (A307). After 1mile, it merges with the A205. Proceed as outlined above From South Circular Road A205.
From The East & South M25 - Use M25 taking an appropriate route (see list above) for your journey.
Important! (1) The Uxbridge Road end (A4020) of Station Road is blocked off and vehicular access is only possible via Church Road. (2) There are no current Parking restrictions in the vicinity of the shop. (3) We are several miles outside of the Congestion Charge zone.
