This is the fix for your tone Jones. If you know Darryl's discography, then you know he plays with some heavyweights. When he came to Lakland looking for a new axe, they were determined to deliver an instrument that could hang with that kind of company as well. Lakland then used the opportunity to see if one of their mid-price instruments could please a world-class pro like Darryl. When he took it on stage with him during The Rolling Stones 2002 tour, that question was answered.

The Darryl Jones Signature bass looks similar to Lakland's Osborn models, but has more curve to its contouring and dramatic cutaways that add to its vintage styling. Three knobs control the tone: Bridge Volume, Neck Volume and Tone. The Darryl Jones model had graduated to a 5-string version. All the great features that made the 4-string an instant classic; comfortable down-sized contoured body, stylish bound and blocked neck, top-shelf single coil pickups by Lakland, and a matching headstock.
